Platinum Open Access Model
Tchê Química Journal currently operates under the Platinum Open Access model (also known as Diamond OA), fully funded by the Araucária Scientific Association.
This means there are no Article Processing Charges (APCs) for authors, nor reading costs for readers. All content is made available freely, immediately, and without restrictions.
Principles of Our Open Access Policy
- Free and unrestricted access: all published articles (since 2004) are available for reading, downloading, and sharing without financial, technical, or legal barriers.
- Open licensing: all articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing reuse, remixing, and commercial use, provided the original authors are properly credited.
- Authors retain copyright: authors retain all rights to their works, granting only a non-exclusive license to the journal for publication and distribution.
- Digital preservation: all articles receive a permanent DOI (since July 2021) and are deposited in trusted repositories such as Portico, Zenodo, and OpenAIRE.
- Open indexing: metadata is made available via OAI-PMH protocol, promoting interoperability with global systems.
Transparency About Changes
The Platinum OA model has been in effect again since the mid-2020s. Any future changes to the funding model (e.g., adoption of APCs) will be communicated with at least 6 months' notice, and will not affect manuscripts already submitted.
